Burn permits are issued on a case-by-case basis and are obtained by calling city hall at 706-359-3239.
A Torch of Appreciation for Firefighters
Our firefighters often risk their lives to keep us safe. In small towns, firefighters often wear many hats. They become integral community members, teachers, mentors and, indeed, everyday heroes. Our gratitude towards firefighters should reflect their heroic endeavors. We acknowledge their bravery but also their immense role in our communities, particularly in the small-town fire departments. Those who risk their lives for others certainly deserve our profound respect and heartfelt thanks.
