Monday, December 30, 2024, was the last day that vegetative storm debris from Hurricane Helene could be placed on city rights of way for the County’s storm debris contractor to collect. With over 90% of the work completed, this cutoff date is needed to allow the contractor time to pick up the remaining vegetative storm debris, get it reduced into mulch and properly disposed.
After December 30, 2024, the County will accept vegetative storm debris through March 31, 2025, at the
Lincoln County Convenience Center
1092 Landfill Road,
Lincolnton, GA 30817.
The following fees will be charged per load:
- Pickup trucks and single axle trailers: $25.00
- Double axle trailers: $50.00
- Greater than double axle trailers: $100
Additionally, the Convenience Center will only accept vegetative storm debris that was generated in Lincoln County.
Once the County’s contractor has announced that they have completed their work, the City’s Code Enforcement Officers will investigate any new debris piles on the County’s rights of way and take the appropriate actions, as per the City’s ordinances. As a reminder, the City cannot give anyone permission to put their debris on the State right of way and we do not have a timeline when the State will complete its work in the City.
